Oxford’s Community Garden, located next to the Thrift Store and behind the Family Resource Center on College Corner Pike, provides fresh vegetables all summer for Oxford’s Choice Pantry and families in Oxford. Flowers from the garden are grown and picked by children to take to local nursing homes. The vegetable garden and the flower garden also offer educational opportunities for people of all ages in the community.

Volunteers are needed to work in both gardens and will be asked to do one or more of the following in either the vegetable or flower garden: mulching, planting, watering, weeding, composting, harvesting, and general clean-up.
A variety of different mentoring programs are offered. Students from the middle school and high school will be matched with mentors to work in the vegetable garden. Students from the elementary schools will be paired with mentors to work in the flower garden.
