Emergency Assistance
The Emergency Financial Assistance program may be able to assist with basic household expenses, such as:
  • Rent
  • Electric bill
  • Natural Gas bill
  • Water bill
Who is eligible? (All Conditions must apply)
  • Residency in the Talawanda School District for 6 months or more
  • Household income of less than 125% of the federal poverty guideline*
  • Household has recently experienced an unexpected financial
    • Unexpected expenses (e.g. car repairs, medical costs, emergency home repairs)
    • Temporary income loss
    • Major family events (e.g. birth, death, divorce, custody issue)
    • Household has or will have income to support future expenses

  • If you anticipate that you will need assistance with rent or basic utilities, please schedule an appointment with FRC staff as soon as possible. You will need to bring the following items to the appointment:
  • Proof of identification for all household members
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income for all adults in the household
  • Bills that you need assistance with
  •  Proof of your financial hardship (lost income or unexpected expenses)
