Volunteering

One of our biggest needs at the Family Resource Center is help managing front-desk operations during business hours. Volunteers provide support to Family Resource Center (FRC) staff by helping out wherever help is needed during a shift. Whether it is welcoming clients, answering phone calls, or working on special projects, volunteers are essential to the success of the FRC.

Responsibilities

Use of copier, fax machine, and computer; Manage phone calls and walk-in visitors; Provide appropriate direction to clients, donors, and other callers/ visitors ; Schedule client appointments using Google Calendar

Preferred Qualities

Reliable; Effective interpersonal and customer service skills; Ability to multi-task in a busy working environment; Effective with a diverse population of visitors; Familiarity with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Publisher; Familiarity with internet and database systems.

Position Hours

Must be available for one, pre-scheduled, two-hour shift, each week, for a minimum of three months during agency office hours. (Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m)
